What is Specialised Disability Accommodation (SDA)?

SDA refers to specially designed or modified housing for NDIS participants with extreme functional impairment or very high support needs. SDA funding pays for the housing itself — a capital contribution to the dwelling — not the day-to-day support provided inside it.

How do I know if I am eligible for SDA funding?

SDA eligibility requires an extreme functional impairment or very high support needs, evidence that SDA is reasonable and necessary, and that alternative housing options have been considered. An OT or assessor will prepare an SDA eligibility report for the NDIA.

What are the SDA design categories?
